we have L= lim x tends to 7- (3x – 8)*f(x)/|x – 7|
L= 13*lim x tends to 7- f(x)/|x – 7|
as x approaches 7 from left side, so x is less than 7.
L= 13*lim x tends to 7- f(x)/(7 – x)
= – 13*lim x tends to 7- [f(x) – f(7)]/(x – 7)........ because f(7)= 0
= – 13*f’(7) …...... by the definition of derivative at a point a.
= – 13*slope of f(x) at x= 7
= – 13*1.......as the graph is a st line in the region x belongs to [6, 8].
= – 13
