Find the point on the curve y = log x at which the tangent to the curve is parallel to chord joining the point (1,0) & (e,1)

let the point be (a, loga)
also, dy/dx=1/x
so, slope of tangent at (a, loga) is 1/a, which has to be equal to 1/(e – 1), or a=e – 1
so, the point is (e – 1, log(e – 1))
