I'm just a beginner... An IIT aspirant.. I've started calculus and one small thing bothers me... See... Any graph of a function that doesn't satisfy the vertical line test is not a function at all... Hyperbolic funtion graph of sin (sinh) .. doesn't satisfy the test... but is known as a function.. why? (does the linear thing have something to do with this?)
