l'hospitals rule is applicable for limit tending to 0 and the expression is of the form 0/0 or ∞/∞ ... 

however, other in-determinate forms can be converted into the above two forms...

indeterminate forms, such as

 1, 00, ∞0, 0·∞, and ∞ − ∞, can sometimes be evaluated using l'Hôpital's rule..
