At first you should convert 2tan-1 1/3 into tan-13/4 by applying the formula 2tan-1x = tan-12x/1-x2. Then you have tan-13/4 + tan-1 π/4 for which you can apply tan-1x + tan-1y and get the result as tan-11 = π/4.
