which is better at IIT roorkee, engineering physics or applied mathematics? applied mathematics course does not give a B.Tech degree, would that cause any problem? also is it possible to change branch from applied math.(int. I would like to suggest you to go for Engg Physics.
You can further study for Physics research.
Engg Physics is good for placement and future prospects.
If you are in 5 year programme, so it is impossible to switch for 4 year programme later.
You should try IIT D also or IIT Guwahati...
