which is better at IIT roorkee, engineering physics or applied mathematics? applied mathematics course does not give a B.Tech degree, would that cause any problem? also is it possible to change branch from applied math.(int. MS) to any B.Tech branch?my rank is 2180 obc what are some other options for me. i like maths>phy>chem

I would like to suggest you to go for Engg Physics. You can further study for Physics research. Engg Physics is good for placement and future prospects. If you are in 5 year programme, so it is impossible to switch for 4 year programme later. You should try IIT D also or IIT Guwahati...
