first choose a branch that you like. if you cant choose any particular branch, then follow this order:

cs>electrical/electronics>mech>>civ>chem>meta>other branches.

preferably stay away from dce and nsit as you wont learn anything from the bad faculty and will have to study on your own to get good placements. IIITD cs is brilliant so you should try for that if you seriously love cs. same for ece at that insti. consider NITT/W/K/BITSP/IIITH also if you r getting good streams.
