Flag Branch Ranking of IIT> As I got the answer of one of the respect...

As I got the answer of one of the respected moderators, the rank for being enrolled in pure physics is 1- 4500 on an average. But my question is if any other branch comes in between, for example some branch of engg. of ranking 1- 4000, then will I be given the opportunity to choose one of the branches?

For B.Tech course, if you under counselling procedure, whatever the branch you are according to your rank, you would be given preferences.
Like chemical engg at IIT D, followed by MSc Physics IIT R.......
