i secured 2315 rank in jee 2011.i want to take up mathematics and computing b. tech. at iit guwahati. is that a good option. i went through the syllabus and found it pretty interesting. but people around me suggest me not to take this. please suggest!

actually people around you dont know how good it is.

being a student of iitg i assure you that it is one of the best branches offered in India and the best mathematics course so far. I suggest you to go for it if you find it intresting. dont listen to those ignorant ppl around you.Also this will provide with you better palcement than any other place for your rank(IITG M&C placements are the best  ).

if you have any doubt consult proper ppl and not anyone who is ready to give his opinion without proper facts and information.
