Civil Engg always has a higher package in any reputed institute so it is always better !!!

The best placements shockingly come from ism dhanbad petrochemical:- huge packages and direct foreign placements. Anything pays at iit, but civil has companies like larsen and tourbo(l&t) and alstom.

Depends on upon your perfomance in IIT.

ur answer is meaningless. u see a particular person has certain amount of talent and intellect. this remains as such. so whether he takes civil, or any other branch his performance will be the same assuming he has no interest in either branch and is joining it only for salary. SO THE SALARY DEPENDS ON THE SCOPE OF THE FIELD (ASSUMING EQUAL PERFORMANCE), AND OTHER FACTORS
