How are the rankings made and how accordingly are the seats alloted after the IIT results? My place is Bangalore, is IIT exam available in my city? if so where? Are there seperate exams for respective branches of IIT, like kharaghpur, madras, delhi, roorke etc. And what will be the rank that can just take me into becoming an IITian.???? please answer

The ranking of IITJEE is given based on the performance of the students,and for each subject there is Minimum cutt off,to get a rank you need to clear all the 3 cut offs,then you will be given the rank
IIT exam is available in every city and it is definetly available in banglore
There are no separate exams for different institutes all have the common exam IITJEE and after counsiling you will be alloted a branch and institute. A rank of 8K also can get you into IIT if you just want to get into IIT
