pls give the rankings of all iits. old as well as new on all india basis.

 As the new IIts are very new ( 1 year or less ) they couldnot be ranked till its first batch graduates. Ranking of the old IITs are like :-

1 IIT KANPUR

2 IIT KHARAGPUR

3 IIT - Bombay

4 IIT DELHI

5 IIT MADRAS

6 IIT Roorkee

7 IIT Guwahati

go for old established iits(good branches) or go ISM dhanbad (petroleum,mining,mining machinery,applied geology) or BHU (cse, electrical,electronics,mechanical)

if you go for an old iit take only good branches like cse ,elec,mech etc. ISM dhanbad is the best college in Asia for earth science branches ( petro,mining,mining machinery,applied geology)

however mining branch of iit kgp gets full within 3500 ranks & that of ISM within 6000 ranks , its becoz of iit tag , & in whole Asia no college or university can teach better than ISM
