Dear Veerendra, First of all congrates for selection! If you are confused between chemical and civil from the same IIT i.e. IIT Roorkee . I will suggest you go for chemical. Chemical definitely has scope in India and abroad if you go for a higher degree there. On the other hand, civil has comparatively less scope as there is always dearth of civil engineering companies coming for campus placements. And abroad also there is good scope if you do a Masters or a Phd from a reputed college. Hope this information proves helpful to you.
