Why the chances of survival of young ones is greater in viviparous organisms?

HELLO JAHANAVI,
In viviparous animals development of embryo occurs inside the female 
Because of the proper embyonic care and protection,the chances of survival is more in vivparous animals and more than placenta gives more care for young ones but in oviparous animals placenta is absent and developments occurs outside the body so the chances of survival is less
