Who proposed first artificial system of classification?

Artificial system of classification of plants was proposed by Swedish botanist –
Carolus Linnaeus which is based on floral characters.
He set this classification in his book “species plantarum” in 1753, describing all species known at that time.
He Is also known asthe father of moderntaxonomy.
