Dear student
I would like to add :
The minimal basic requirements are: origin of DNA replication, drug resistance gene, and a cloning site containing several unique restriction endonuclease cleavage sites into which foreign DNA may be inserted. Most plasmid vectors are small, circular DNA molecules.
Hope this helps
Good Luck

DEAR FRIEND

The genetic vectors are DNA molecule having capability of autonomous replication within host cell and in which we can insert other DNA sequences and amplify them. Most common type is plasmid. There may be other genetic vectors like-viral vectors and cosmids etc.

So, the correct answer is 'Plasmid'
