Megaspore mother cell is diploid in nature which further after meiosis form haploid megaspores.

No. of chromosomes is different in different plants. So it depends.

MMC is Diploid and divides by meiosis division and then form haploid megaspores
no. of chromosomes are 2N   
where N=no. of chromosomes at diploid stage

2nor diploid is the ploidy of megspore mother cell .that later on form female gamet which fuse with male gamet.
