What is the white protuberance seen inside some coconut. Whether it is formed for or by the consumption of endosperm

Hi nihala,
The white protruberence appearing in the coconut
is the germination of embryo in the coconut.
The coconut upon sowing that white structure changes into radicle and stem and trasnforms into a new plant.

Sir iam asking abt the sweet tasted white protuberance inside-srry I don`t know its scientific term.is it also part of embryo

Yes your correct nihala,
Its the embryo which contains
the developed zygote which transforms into new plant.

That`s not embryo that is cellular endosperm .there are two type of cellular endosperm 1.nuclear endosperm example is fluid inside coconut 2.cellular endosperm.Endosperm are used by embryo for development.
