A meiotic prophase stage, including leptotene, zygotene and pachytene, in certain species where the chromosomes are oriented by one or both ends towards one point of the nuclear envelope.

Bouquet stage occurs during Leptotene of Prophase 1 of Meiosis.
In Bouquet stage the telomeres of all the chromosomes of the cell are directed to one sude and are attached to nuclear membrane at a common point.
Formation of bouquet helps in synapsis.
