What are the names of two rings present in haemoglobin and chlorophyll? What is the difference between Chlorophyll – a and chlorophyll – b?

Hello Student,
The name of the ring which is present in both of these structure is Porphyrin.
You can clearly see the structural diiference between the two (chlorophyll & haemoglobin) in the attached image.

And yes chlorophyll a is different from chlorophyll b is –
a very small structural difference at Carbon number 7.

They reflect or transmit green light, which is why leaves appear green. The ratio of Chl-a to Chl-b in the chloroplast is 3:1. Photosynthesis depends upon the absorption of light by pigments in the leaves of plants. The most important of these is chlorophyll-a, chlorophyll-b also plays a role.
