What are the main classes of contact associated with the cell adhesion molecules?

Hai Divya Pandey,
As i already explained you,
Cell adhesion molecules are involed in binding with cells.
The classes of Cell adhesion molecules can be of several types.
1.Types based on function they perform.
Immunological,Cell-physiological,Metabolic,Transporters,Signaling etc.,
2.Types based their composition,
Lipid alone,Protein alone,Glyco-protein,Lipoprotein
3.Types based on their origin.
origibated from Spleen,Bone marrow,Endocrine glands,Thymus etc.,

Structurally, there are two main classes of contact, both associated with cell adhesion molecules.

One class is associated with specializations at discrete regions of the cell surface that are ultrastructurally distinct.
The second, general, class of adhesive contact has no obvious associated ultrastructural
features.
