Testis are in pair and primary reproductive organ in males. Their function is to sythesize testosterone hormone which is responsible for male characteristics. Other important function is formation of sperms. Sperms are haploid, meaning they contain only one set of all chromosomes, i.e. 23 chromosomes.

The testes are the most essential organs of the male reproductive system. They are the glands where sperm and testosterone are produced. The testes are contained in the scrotum and are composed of dense connective tissue containing around three hundred internal compartments called lobules

Testes are primary sex organ in males.They produce sperms which are the gametes needed for reproduction.Testes also acts as an endocrine gland as it secretes male hormone testosterone which control male sexual behaviour.
