Dear student
anticodon – a sequence of three nucleotides on a tRNA molecule that bond to a complementary sequence on an mRNA molecule. The anticodon sequence determines the amino acid that the tRNA carries.
codon– a sequence of three nucleotides on a mRNA molecule that encode a specific amino acid.

The codon is located on the mRNA. Anticodon is located on the tRNA.
It is complementary to the nucleotide triplet on the DNA. It is complementary to the codon.
It determines the position of the amino acids. It brings the specified amino acid by the codon.
One mRNA contains many codons. One tRNA contains one anticodon.
