Hello student

Internodal segments of sugarcane fail to propagate vegetativelybecause only the nodes present in the modified stems of sugarcane come in contact with damp soil or water preduce roots and new plants

Sugarcane does not grow at inter nodal segment because plantlets do not arise from internodes when come in contact with damp soil or water

Of sugarcane plants 2) InternodesThe part of plant between a two nodes known as internodes. From this parts no root are formed so if we damp internodes in soil then it not grows....

The site of plantlets is node when come in contact with damp soil, produces root and new plants. New plant do not arise from the internodes or internodal segments of sugarcane
