Neem cake organic manure protects plant roots from nematodes, soil grubs and white ants probably due to its residual limonoid content. It also acts as a natural fertilizer with pesticidal properties. Neem cake is widely used in India to fertilize paddy, cotton and sugarcane.
Neem fruit cake is extensively utilized in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sector for preparing various medicines and cosmetic items.
Neem Kernel Cake is rich in sulphur Compounds (6%), bitter Terpenoids (2%) such as Epinimbin – a natural nitrification inhibitor functioning like Nitropyran, Azadirachtin is effective at concentrations as low as 00.04 % PPM), Meliantriol, Salannin, Nimbin, Azadiradione and other minor bitter compounds are also present.Acts as a fertilizer & a pest repellent. Protects the roots of crops from Nematodes, termites, fungi, bacteria & other soil borne insects.
