PLANT BREEDING PROOGRAMME INVOLVES FIVE STEPS. IN THE LAST STEP THE PLANT IS TESTED AND IS GROWN IN LOCAL FIELDS AND FARMS WHERE IN FUTURE WE ARE GOING TO GROW THAT CROP. THIS IS DONE IN ORDER TO CHECK THAT WHETHER THIS PLANT IS ABLE TO GROW IN PARTICULAR ENVIRONMENT OF THAT AREA.

OTHERWISE SPECIFIC MEANING OF CULTIVAR IS:  a plant variety that has been produced in cultivation by selective breeding.
