Glycolysis is the process which occurs in cytosol in which of one molecule of glucose formstwo moleculesof pyruvate (pyruvic acid). a total offourATP molecules, andtwo moleculesof NADH+H is produced.
Net ATP produced are 4-2=2 as two ATP are used during initial preparatory phase

Glycolysis is the process which occurs in cytosol in which of one molecule of glucose forms two moleculesof pyruvate (pyruvic acid). a total of fourATP molecules, and two moleculesof NADH+H is produced. Two molecules are also invested at the beginning of glycolysis.Hence net 2 ATP molecules are produced directly.

4Atp are formed directly but net gain of Atp is 2 since 2Atp were involved in initial steps of glycolysis i.e for activation of glucose
