it is originate in protisans & simple algae . these organism multiply asexually during favourable conditions. the gametes are formed towards the approach of unfavourable conditions. the gametes fuse & form zygote which often develops a thick wall to become perennating zygospore. it germinates under favourable conditions to form the protist/algae that repeat the cycle
