Karyokinesis (Karyon – nucleus, kinesis – movement): It is the division of nuclear material.
Cytokinesis (cyto – cell, kinesis – movement) It is the division of cytoplasm after karyokinesis.

When cell has to divide it duplicates its DNA material during cell cycle S phase. Karyokinesis is the phase of cell division when equal distribution of nuclear material takes place in both daughter cells.
CYTOKINESIS is defined as the process by which the cytoplasm of the cell divide into two and separately move toward each side cell resulting in the splitting of the cell into two.
