does red light induces flowering in short day plants ?

Dear Soumya,

Long dark periods of short day plants,if interrupted by a brief exposure of red light (660 micro-meter), the flowering is inhibited.

If the exposure of red light is immediately followed by far-red light (730 micro-meter), the flowering is promoted.
