difference between asexual reproduction and vegetative propagation

Asexual reproduction occurs without seeds and in this process the parents cells split the cells to produce new individuals.but vegetative propagation is an asexual reproduction in which the cells not split off but form an extension of the vegetative parts which give rise to new plants
