1- the fluid mosaic model is frst described by singer and nicolsan in 1972 .
2- acc to that cell membrane is consists of lipid billayer , with a polar head in outer side , and the hydrophillic tails towards the inner side , so, the non polar tails is protected from acqueous enviornment .
3- protein and carbohydrate are also present in the membrane .
3- membrane protein can be integral or peripheral .
4- it shows the quasi fluid nature of lipids , and enable lateral enviornment of protein with billayer .
5- fluidity is the measure of ability of the membrane , to allow movement within itself .
6- fluid nature of membrane is imp for cell division .
LIMITATION
1- as its a fluid , its not staying in one place , its moving , so, in that case the model fails .
2- everything in this model is explained as static, which is not at all possible in all cases .
