Any one please say what is called as trans membrane protiens?

Some proteins, because of the extensive hydrophobic regions of their polypeptide chains, they span the entire width of the membrane.These proteins are called transmembrane proteins.

there are 2 types of integral membrane protein . 
1- transmembrane protein – these proteins completely embeded in lipid billayers . 
2- partially embeded proteins – these are the proteins that are partially embeded in lipid billayer .
