Hello sir what is this conic represent is it ellipse or a parabola ?

Please provide an image or equation of the conic, only then can i provide u with the solution or whether the conic is a parabola or ellipse.

Somehow I could manage to understand what is written in that attachment....Of course its a parabola

To find its equation use the formula PS=PM

which means

(x-2)^2 + (y-1)^2 =( (x + y )^2 )/2

implies x^2 + y^2 – 8x – 4y – 2xy + 10=0

Sure ,first of all its an ellipse not parabola.To find itTake SP=ePM where S=focus and M=directrixAnd solve it you will find e It represents an ellipse.Hope you understand where you u go wrong. Thanks
