sir focus is (1,2) and equation of directrix is 3x-4y-15=0 what will be the equation of parabola.sir i have just started parabola so i have small doubts

dear vishal

eccentricity of parabola is 1 ...

PS = ePM      (for any curve)

distance of directrix from any point on parabola = (distance bw any point on parabola to focus)

(3x-4y-15/5) = {(x-1)2+(y-2)2}1/2

this is the desired eq of parabola ....
