Solving this to one extent,
 
{(xn)(n-1)/n}1/(n+1) = >  
(x)(n-1)/(n+1) 
as n cannot be equal to zero that is out of its domain put n = 1 and cross check the options,
Therefore,
at n = 1
x^0 = 1
check putting n = 1 in options that gives 1 as the result.
