As if u solve 1st equation as by marking zeros on the number line and further taking cases such that in first case zeros are -4,0,4. Now u can take cases as firstly x4 and by taking intersection of all these cases u will get that x € (-infinity,-4] U [4,infinity). And similarly if u solve another one u will get the answer as x € [-1,5] ,and the final answer is intersection of both the intervals that is x € [4,5].
