the equation of a plane passing through the a point whose position vector is $\underset{a}{\rightarrow}$ and perpendicular to vector $\underset{n}{\rightarrow}$ .

is given by $(\underset{r}{\rightarrow}-\underset{a}{\rightarrow}).\underset{n}{\rightarrow}=\underset{0}{\rightarrow}$

where $\underset{r}{\rightarrow}$ is any arbitary point on the plane.
