While solving problems related to finding intervals for the given inequality.....I am confused when to do union of the intervals to get the final solution or to do intersection of the intervals to get the final solution. Please tell when to use intersection and when to use union operators while finding the final solution set.

when there are 2 conditions say A and B

you are required to consider A AS WELL AS B then INTERSECTION

otherwise IF A or B THEN UNION
