Two students tried to solve a quadratic equation .first student took a wrong value of p and then found roots of equation as 2 and 6. Another student took a wrong value of q and found the roots of equation as 2 and -9 .the exact root of equation are

The qadrtaic eqn. for the roots 2 and 6 is:
f(x) = x^2 – 8x + 12
and for the roots 2 and -9 :
p(x) => x^2 – 7x -18
The real quadratic eqns. with correct sum of the roots and the product if roots are:
g(x) =x^2 – 7x + 12 = 0
And the roots are (x-3) (x-4) =0
x= 3 and x = 4 respectively.
