For selecting 3 stations leave forst stations as it can't stop at the starting station.
 
Hence 13C3 = 13 * 12 * 11/ 6 = 143 * 2 = 286

Total No of way can a train be stopped= 14c3 = 14 * 13 * 12 / 3* 2* 1  = 364

There are 14 railway stations and you have to choose any three out of those 14.
So, number of ways of choosing is 14C3
