In any rearrangement of the word SUCCESS, there are 5!/3!2!=10 ways to permutate theconsonents in the word. Only 1 of out these 10 ways are correct. Therefore, out of the 7!/3!2! possible arrangement of the letters in the word SUCCESS, only 1/10 of thesearrangments have the 2 consonants in alphabetical order. Thus, the number of ways toarrange SUCCESS, keeping the consonants in alphabetical order, is
=(7!/3!2!)*(1/10)=42 ways
