\hspace{-0.6cm}$Given $x^2+6ax+b=0$ has roots $\sqrt{3+\sqrt{8}} = 1+\sqrt{2}$\\\\So other root is $1-\sqrt{2}.$\\\\So $1+\sqrt{2}+1-\sqrt{2}=-6a$ and $(1+\sqrt{2})\cdot (1-\sqrt{2})=b$\\\\So we get $3a=-1$ and $b=-1$. So $15ab=5$

Its interesting that you wrote \sqrt{(3+\sqrt{8}} = 1 + \sqrt{2}

But is there any formula based on which you found it?? It could be useful..
