Sir can you tell me that in the solution of above question how does z= 1 + t2 + 2ti Is taken as a parametric form.
Because in whole theory of this book it has not discussed this parametric form
Sir please help me.....

note that the equation y^2= 4(x – 1) represents a parabola.
so the parametric form is basically being borrowed from the already known parametric form of a parabola. this makes the ques easy to solve.
