we know by the section formula that if a point divides the join of z1 and z2 in the ratio of m:n, then it is given by
(mz1+nz2)/(m+n)
here, m= 1 – t and n= t so obvioiusly m+n=1
hence z= (1 – t)z1 + tz2 is nothing but a point lying in between z1 and z2 along the line joining these two points.
A is correct bcoz |x – y| represents distance between complex nos x and y.
D is correct bcoz z – z1= t(z2 – z1) where is a real positive number.
C is correct bcoz z – z1= t(z2 – z1) and take conjugate both sides so that bar(z) – bar(z1)= t(bar(z2) – bar(z1)) and now eliminate t from both these eqns
