Dear student
we can write it as
|2x-1| = [x] + 2x
now if 2x is greater than 1.
2x -1 = [x] + 2x
[x] = -1 which is not possible as x is gretaer than ½
now if 2x is less than 1
1- 2x = [x] + 2x
4x + [x] = 1
hence only solution is x=1/4
