P(a,b) is the mid point of a line segment between axes .Show that the eqation of line is x/a+y/b=2

Since P(a,b) is mid point of line segment between the axes. Therefore coordinates of its extremities on the axes will be (2a,0) & (0,2b) on x and y axis respectively.And the equation of line in intercept form will be x/2a +y/2b =1. ie x/a + y/b = 2.
