obviously b=a conjugate
so |a| + |b|= 2|a| (as modulus of conjugate=modulus of complex no)
now, q^2 – 4pr
then x=[ –q+-m*i]/2p
|x|=root(q^2+m^2)/2p=root(4pr)/2p
=root(r/p)
so |a| + |b|=2root(r/p)
