from E to F

let n(E) =m = 4

and n(F) = n =2

since m > n so

no. of onto functions is n^m - C(n,1)*(n-1)^m + C(n,2)*(n-2)^m - …

= 24 – 2C1 (1)4 – 0

= 16 -2 =14

 

so no. of onto functions from E to F = 14
