1/n∑(xi-xmean)2=variance
1/20∑(1/3xi-1/3xmean)2=5 
∑1/9(xi-xmean)2 =5x20
∑(xi-xmean)2   = 100x9
                     =900
actual variance when multiplied by3 is  1/n∑(xi-xmean)2  
                                                      =1/20x900
                                                      =45.
this is the required answer.
